Company History

VIVA Transcription was launched in 2003 as a virtual assistance service, geared toward fast and accurate transcription of any type of audio. The combination of quick turnaround, and flexible options in terms of submitting dictations, made it an instant success with healthcare practices that had struggled with in-house services and other alternatives. Gradually, the service was refined towards the medical field throughout the use of technology, application of HIPAA standards, and a focus on dedicated account management.

One of VIVA Transcription’s distinctive features has been the development of proprietary technology for transcription workflow over the years. Rather than adjusting to external software and vendors, the company has developed customized tools that are used by employees and customers on a daily basis. Aside from organic growth, this managed technology approach has also enabled VIVA Transcription to engage in acquisitions with a seamless impact on daily operations. This has led to a growing national presence, with clients in 49 states as well as Canada and Puerto Rico.
