About VIVA Transcription | Charitable Works

The following are two examples of how VIVA demonstrates its concern for the current issues facing gender inequality and inadequate healthcare.

Global Healthcare, a Universal Right

Congratulations to Gloria Hoang, who has been chosen to recieve the VIVA-IMO Scholarship! Good luck in PNG, Gloria! Click here to read more.

VIVA works closely with the Stanford International Medical Options project with the goal of creating an independent self-sufficient healthcare system in the impoverished rural region of the island nation of Papua New Guinea. Working directly with local community leaders and enlisting the efforts of village health aids, the program rapidly improves the health of the community by combining clinical operations with healthcare education programs. Gender Equality, Across the Board

Our goal is to empower women through training and employment. Roughly 80% of VIVA’s workforce is female. Therefore we have chosen to support the Global Fund for Women (GFW), a grant making foundation supporting women’s human rights organizations around the world. These organizations address critical issues such as women’s economic independence, increasing girls’ access to education and stopping violence against women.
